Typically they are used in association with either an electric or air orbital sander. These are self adhesive sanding discs and not velcro. They are made by Mirka one of the specialists in car repair industry. Sandy is a durable product very well suited for sanding at high speeds. Sandy is an all round sanding material that can be used for many purposes. In order to achieve an optimal sanding result the semi open grit binding and special stearate coating are designed to prevent clogging and pill forming. Coarser grits are recommended for sanding of putty or removing lacquer. Finer grits are recommended for dry sanding of surfaces with primer and lacquer. These discs are available in a wide variety of grits from coarse to fine. We stock the following grits: P40, P80, P120, P180, P240, P320, P400 and they are supplied per box of 50 of P40 grit or supplied in a box of 100 for all other grits.
