We advise you do not send/leave expensive or valuable paint samples with us for matching.
Whilst every care is taken we do not accept responsibility for any loss or damage to samples sent or given to us.
By placing an order for sample matching you acknowledge and understand the Sample Disclaimer.
If you have a colour code for your vehicle, please look at our Paint Matched to Code Section. These prices are for Custom Paints matched to a sample eg petrol cap, colour sprayed onto a piece of metal ideally byt please contact us for specific sample/ materials and we will do our best to help you.
Hand matching is an exact match of the paint sample you have sent us, and is mainly used for vintage or custom painted cars where there is no original colour code. Our paint technicians carefully match the sample you have sent and can then provide the paint in sizes from 500ml to 5 Litre tins. Please note that blending is required for metallic and pearlescent paint.
We will match literally any paint colour, not just for cars. We match all types of vehicles including boats, helicopters, and planes. All we need is a sample of the colour you need us to match.
We will accept any items as sample paint colours, but bear in mind you are responsible for getting the sample to us. (A petrol cap is often used) We will return your original sample back to you with your paint order.
Hand matching is a time consuming service, and once we have received your sample, you must allow 7 working days for your order to be dispatched to you.
The minimum paint quantity we can supply for custom matched paint is 500ml.
The cost of Hand Matched Custom paint will vary, as it depends whether the paint we use is Cellulose, Two Pack, Base Coat, or Synthetic Paint. The prices will change by using the drop down menu below.
In addition, there may be an additional charge dependent upon the amount of pearl or mica in the BASECOAT paint mixes. If this is the case with your paint sample, we will contact you prior to mixing with a revised price. As a guide, if we need to use more a pearl or mica in the mix, extra costs incurred will be approximately £3-£5 per litre (but could be more).
We charge a flat fee of £9.95 to hand match your paint, you then need to decide which type of paint you require from the drop down menu below.
For the amateur enthusiast we recommend that for a solid colour you use a Cellulose Paint if you are unsure, but if you need any technical help please call one of our trained advisors on 01273 326981.
